Look what came in the mail today!!!!!!!! Food Processor!!!!!! It's an early birthday present from the whole family (Mom, Dad, Sues, Anders, Erik and El Segundo). I'm so excited that I can barely take an in-focus picture of it. Here it is in box, and out of the box with dough blade in place. DOUGH BLADE!!!!!!!!

Woo woo! Congratulations! Even though I didn't love my recent food processor pie crust, I LOVE my Cuisinart. Chop chop chop away!
Oh Ellen, your post makes me so wistful. I had a dough blade, and I loved it. I made pizza dough to dream of. Once, I accidentally overworked a pie crust with my dough blade, and it came out like a saltine cracker. Then, mysteriously, after one pizza night, my dough blade disappeared. I don't know where it went, I cannot find it. And when it comes time to make the pizza, I have no dough blade. The moral of the story is: keep a close watch on your dough blade. Do not let it out of your sight. Put it next to your head on your pillow at night if you have to....but do not let it go. Congratulations on your new Cuisinart, Ellen!
It sounds like cuisinart pie crust is tricky - any tips? Helen, if you send me your pizza dough recipe, I will make you many pizzas the next time you are in Virginia.
